Cousera là gì?

[Tui]: Coursera.org là một nền tảng học trực tuyến nổi tiếng trên thế giới với hàng nghìn khoá học thuộc hầu hết các lĩnh vực đến từ nhiều trường đại học trên thế giới, kể cả các trường top xịn sò như Stanford hay Yale.

[Wiki]: Coursera (/kɔːrsˈɛrə/) là một công ty công nghệ giáo dục chuyên cung cấp các khoá học trực tuyến đại chúng mở (massive open online course – MOOC). Công ty được thành lập bởi hai giáo sư khoa học máy tính Andrew Ngô Ân Đạt và Daphne Koller thuộc Đại học Stanford. Coursera hợp tác với nhiều trường đại học trên thế giới để cung cấp một số khoá học trên mạng của các trường này cho người đăng ký, các khoá học có thể thuộc ngành khoa học kỹ thuật, nhân văn học, y học, sinh học, khoa học xã hội, toán học, kinh tế học, khoa học máy tính và một số lĩnh vực khác.

Làm sao để xin Financial Aid cho khoá học bất kỳ?

Bước 1: Tìm khoá học bạn muốn và truy cập vào

Ví dụ ở đây tôi minh hoạ khoá: Introduction to Negotiation: A Strategic Playbook for Becoming a Principled and Persuasive Negotiator

Bước 2: Bấm vào ô “Financial Aid available”

Nếu không có ô để bấm vô tức là khoá đó không xin Aid được.

Bước 3: Xác nhận các thông tin

Hứa sẽ chăm học, hứa không khai man.

Đoạn nhập “I agree to the terms above” nếu không được thì có lẽ do ngôn ngữ gốc của page đang là tiếng Pháp, hãy chỉnh về ngôn ngữ gốc rồi copy lại.

Bước 4: Tập làm văn

Lúc này bạn cần thể hiện sự “xứng đáng được học free” của mình.

Tôi đã apply thành công nhiều lần, bạn có thể dựa vào đó để biến tấu lại cho phù hợp với môn mình đăng ký và bio của bản thân.

Why are you applying for Financial Aid? (150 words minimum required)

I’m an unemployed person from Vietnam and want to learn Python for Financial Analyzing purpose. I think it will be beneficial for my work. But I’ve no job of my own to carry the expenses to pay for the certificate of this course. I live only for my part-time job at the restaurant, but now my employer shut his place down, so it is very much difficult for me to gather such amount of money for the certificate. Financial Aid will help me take this course without any adverse impact on my monthly essential needs. So I’m badly in need of this financial aid. I want to take this course as I want to learn. This course will boost my job prospects after graduation from my institute. It will help perform better in analyzing and learning this technology and give me an edge over my competitors. A verified certificate will attach credibility to the certificate I receive from this course. I plan to complete all assignments on or before time as I have done in previous Signature Track Courses. Also, I intend to participate in Discussion Forums, which I have found to supplement my learning immensely in the other online courses I have taken on Coursera. I also plan to grade assignments that are to peer-reviewed which I believe will an invaluable learning opportunity.

How will your participation in this course help you achieve your career goals? (at least 150 words required)

My main career goal is to learn every day. I really want to learn and to progress in my career. Financial Analyst, which is the career I aim to follow, requires constant learning and improving. Taking this course will help me to learn and study this outstanding skill and also to implement it. It can help me advance in my knowledge. This course will help me in understanding how Python could potentially impact my analysis, to write a thought leadership piece regarding use cases and industry potential of using Data Science in finance, explain Data Science to clients, friends, joining a community of economists, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and technologists that are shaping this technology as we speak. Identifying which aspects of Python and Statistics seem most important and relevant to us, Walking away with a strong foundation in where Data Science is going, what it does, and how to prepare for it. Data Science course will help me achieve it to learn. Courses on Coursera helped me to greatly increase my programming knowledge in the past.

I don’t have enough money to invest in my education, I can invest only my time now. An additional amount of interest expense and stress of bearing debt is really a matter to me right now.

Covid-19 makes it’s really difficult to a low-income person like me to make a living.
